Outro PR was founded in 2016 by the creators of Post-rock Facebook Page and Arctic Drones magazine. Today, with a small team of experienced and media savvy music lovers that have worked extensively in digital media outlets, artist and event management, we create carefully planned campaigns to help get your music wider attention.

Post-rock • Post-metal • Ambient • Experimental rock • Math rock
And neighboring scenes

Here's a list of some of the things you may want to know about how we do things around here. Please feel free to drop us an email for any other questions you may have:

What do you look for when taking on a band?

At Outro we only work with music we love. We have an exclusive selection process, most often based on a simple criterion: If we can’t feel the music and don’t get excited about the project, we don’t take it on.

We also specialize in a narrow range of genres, particularly post-rock, post-metal, ambient, experimental rock, math rock and neighboring genres. If your music doesn't fall in somewhere between those, we’d advise you to approach another PR firm that works with your genres. If you’re unsure whether we’d be a good match for your sound, please send your music to us and we’ll provide an honest feedback as soon as possible.

Why would Outro PR be a good fit for my band/label/event?

Because we only work with releases that we highly enjoy and bands we relate to personally, we guarantee a lot of hard work, passion and dedication to help get your music wider attention. The fact that Outro PR is a boutique agency with an exclusive selection process means our bands and labels never become one of many on a laundry list. Our enthusiasm is also coupled with the tools necessary to meet your goals. Founded by the creators of Post-rock Facebook Page and Arctic Drones magazine, Outro PR has a small team of media savvy music lovers who have years of music promotion and PR experience working with independent artists and labels, and an extensive network and knowledge on the international "post-" music scene. We would love to talk to you about the many opportunities that we have to offer.

Can I see the results of your previous campaigns?

Sure. We take pride in the publicity we generate, and will be more than happy to share more with you on our earlier work and results.

Will I sell more music from a PR campaign?

Too broad to give a simple and definitive answer. If we work together, we will provide you the best publicity you could get. But truth be told, publicity doesn't "always" translate into sales. More importantly, the answer depends on a wide range of factors (some of which are out of our control) like the type and duration of the campaign, release date of the album, band’s involvement in the process and their social activity/presence, to name just a few.

Effective PR is in many ways essential in today's music landscape, but it is only one part of the story. We'll be happy to give you personalized advice to increase your sales.

How will I measure the success of the campaign?

There are a few performance indicators that will be relevant to you according to the type and the duration of the campaign.

• Increase in sales
• Fan base growth
• Increase in streams on major services like Spotify, Bandcamp and Youtube
• Press coverage

We will be in touch with you, and keep you updated, throughout the campaign. Once the campaign ends, we'll send you a final report as well.

Do you guarantee media coverage?

No. While we'll do our best to get you the best results possible, we can't make any promises on a specific outcome. It is ultimately the decision of the publications and we have no control over that. If guaranteed press or features on popular/specific blogs is your priority, we recommend you look for another agency who can serve your press expectations better than us.

That said, we can gladly share case studies from previous campaigns with you, which can help you decide if we can potentially be helpful to you or not.

I have an upcoming release/tour. When is the best time to contact you?

In social campaigns, about a month before the release or event date.

In press campaigns, we require a three month lead time in advance of the release to meet media deadlines and maximize your campaign.

Would I benefit from PR campaigns for older releases?

Absolutely. Shoot us a message and we’ll talk how we can help.

Is there anything I can do to help with the campaign?

Sure. Be involved as much as you can!

We like working with bands and artists who are as much passionate as we are. Being in constant communication, and keeping us busy with new stories and content throughout our time managing your campaign will do great help.

Depending on the type of the campaign, we may also need some material from you such as promotional band photos, album artwork, download codes or file hosting service links to your music (Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer).

So where do we begin? What is the process like?

Before anything else, please send us your music as a link to your Bandcamp or Soundcloud page along with a short bio, and tell us briefly what you're looking to get out of a PR campaign.

We are currently unable to respond to every e-mail. But if we do like your music and think Outro PR would be a good fit for you, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We'll then together work out a set of goals that are reasonable and a good fit for you, discuss and come up with a plan. Once we agree on details, we will roll up our sleeves and begin working immediately to meet your needs.
